We are a company that's dedicated to bringing the best of nature's friendly bacteria to help consumers and clinicians all over the world.
We're proud of our
Our products have been
The human gut is a sensitive place and our products contain bacterial cultures that are at home there.
All of our cultures occur naturally in the human gut and many are from the family of bacteria that are passed from mother to baby at birth.
The quantity of bacteria provided in each pack has been chosen for optimal daily balance in the human gut.
We do not use or add bacterial cultures of animal origin.
Our products also contain pure bacterial cultures that have been validated to the highest standards, including human clinical trials in the UK and Europe.
We do not compromise these pure formulations by adding multiple other cultures. As scientists we know that mixing many bacterial cultures does not guarantee that each culture will work optimally and some cultures may even have competing effects.
We produce pure formulations, with no added bulk yoghurt or animal cultures, to provide a Precision Biotic® product that we can guarantee and that clinicians can recommend.
The pure bacterial culture in each of our products is also stable at room temperature and does not need refrigeration.
Our discovery partners are world leading experts in the human microbiome. They include the APC Microbiome Institute in Ireland and our work as part of EU projects such as MyNewGut and NeuroGut.
Together with our discovery partners, our research has been published in leading scientific journals. See highlights of our Research publications here.
For our scientists, one of the most motivating elements is the feedback we get from the people who trust and use our products every day.
The gut microbiome has been described as the forgotten organ. Scientists are just beginning to understand the complex relationships we have with these bacterial cultures and that they have with each other.
Many factors can disturb this delicate system, including antibiotics, stress and inadequate nutrition. Digestive conditions are more common than ever, including food intolerances, constipation, bloating, Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) and Irritable Bowel Disease.
