Alflorex’s 35624® culture featured at symposium with leading gastroenterologists.

A recent symposium sponsored by Alflorex at the Royal Society of Medicine in London focused on new approaches to a range of digestive health issues.

 The symposium, chaired by Dr. Ayesha Akbar and attended by some of the UK’s leading gastroenterologists, discussed presentations by an international panel of experts. This included discussion of the clinical trial data on the 35624 culture in Alflorex, which has been shown to reduce symptoms of bloating, abdominal pain, gas and unpredictable bowel movements such as alternating diarrhoea and constipation. Dr. Anton Emmanuel

Dr. Anton Emmanuel is a Senior Lecturer in Neuro-Gastroenterology and Consultant Gastroenterologist at University College London and the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery. He is the Medical Director of Core, the largest UK gastrointestinal charity and the Editor of the journal Frontline Gastroenterology.

Professor Qasim Aziz

Professor Qasim Aziz is Professor of Neurogastroenterology at St Bartholomew’s Hospital and The London NHS Trust and is Director of the Wingate Institute of Neurogastroenterology.

Professor Eamonn Quigley

Professor Eamonn Quigley is the Chief of Gastroenterology at The Methodist Hospital in Houston. He has served as president of both the American College of Gastroenterology and the World Gastroenterology Organisation and is a past editor-in-chief of the American Journal of Gastroenterology.

Dr. Ayesha Akbar

Dr. Ayesha Akbar is a Consultant Gastroenterologist at St. Mark’s Hospital. She is the chair of the Neurogastroenterology committee of the British Society of Gastroenterology.
